About the Show

Michel Droge is a painter, printmaker and educator whose work engages with the environment and the human condition in an era of uncertainty. The work embraces a layering of scientific research with inspiration from literary and poetic sources to formulate abstract visions. This current body of work is inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses and draws parallels from this epic poem to the present day cultural and ecological exploitation of environmental and social ecosystems.
