ARTIST STATEMENT
As a photographer, I like to explore the visual jumping off points where new realities suddenly emerge, where the imagination is allowed to run free. I’ve found that the camera gives me license to be somewhere that I don’t necessarily belong. A constant curiosity drives me to look deeper to discover what lies beyond the surface.
I see the photographic process as a way to witness the mysterious inner workings of the Universe, a way to witness the slow and barely seen tides of time, and watch the endless passage of becoming and going.
I like to get in that place where picture taking becomes both an act of meditation and self-liberation. It is a way to look out on the edges of Eternity, and to express my awe in a way words could not.
My goal as an artist is “ to free the psyche and re-invent the dream… to inspire and communicate a fresh sense of wonder”.
